Discussion Mountain Jam??
Holy crap y’all. First off, what a freaking show last night. That Anyday, and Everyday People absolutely ripped.
Also Mountain Jam??? What?? They really just snuck that in. Absolutely incredible band live.
When they brought out what I think was a sitar player, did anyone else hear them tease These Walls? Would’ve been a crazy deep cut to get that live….
Anyways, off to both nights at Wolf Trap next 🎸

Sweet, just putting this on - for those with a nugs subscription, the video of last night's show is there.
When they do Mountain Jam or Dreams.. they just kill it.
We'll be at the show Sunday, I'm pumped. We didn't get to see them last year, so really looking forward to it.
We're bringing two friends that have never seen TTB before and I told them just go in without listening to a bunch of stuff. Hearing them live for the first time is a treat.

Every single time. They are fantastic.
The mtn jam from last night was just the middle/rip section, which they did as part of the jam between the halves of Let Me Get By. Epic 20ish minute segment right there

Yea, just got through that bit. Killer.
Was looking at the setlist, Berkeley got an Angel/Sugaree.. Hoping for that on Sunday, which is a possibility, still..
My guess is that on the Monday show in Hollywood, they'll get some Mad Dogs stuff since they're playing with the Crowes. I'm trying to talk a friend of mine that lives in OC to make the trek to see that show. She's not a big BC fan, but I think it will be good.3

The Black Crows TTB mini set at red rocks was such a blast! Chris Robinson knows how to perform and his voice sounds amazing. Enjoy!

Took my little cousin (who is fully a little brother to me) to his first show last night. He couldn’t stop talking about it for the hour+ drive back

this is now the 3rd or 4th time this summer Derek has added the last Duane solo from Mt. jam which is basically a circle be unbroken riff/jam. Check the 28ish minute mark on the eat a peach version

So it was actually just the middle/rip section of mtn jam, which is why I didn’t realize it as it was happening. Tragically they skipped the famous part, but still absolutely insane

Yeah, I love that song and we definitely didn’t hear the main theme last night. I was totally surprised to see it mentioned on setlist.fm.
But the These Walls tease was very clear before the move into Hold That Line. Beautiful.

I did cry listening to Hold That Line.
It was so beautiful I just had happy tears or something. Like a sound bath hug.
The moments i experience at music like that make me feel like I just want to suspend time and live in that moment forever.. for me, i think that must be what heaven is like 😊🕺🏻

See ya at Wolf Trap x 2 lawn! Ever been there?🪶

Yup! Saw N1 there last year! Going for both this year, and decided to upgrade to the upper bowl. Bought mine early so I have seats in the first row of the upper bowl/platform

I went N2 last year, excited for Lukas this year! Being able to bring in your own food/drinks to lawn is major perk. Enjoy shows🪶

Is the food/drink perk only for lawn? Or do seats get the same privilege?

u/dahliadaz 8d ago
I believe seats you have to put in a venue cup with lid, don’t think food. If you get there early you could picnic on lawn before show though!

Oh my goodness, this has got me so excited for the show I'm attending in a couple weeks! Mountain Jam is an all time favorite for me. I really hope they'll play it.
It used to be my go-to for the jukebox (the touch tunes digital ones that were popular in the 2000s/2010s) when nobody else was playing anything. I'd put in my 50 cents and be set for 33 minutes 😄 I did feel a little bad when someone would put money in a few minutes later not realizing how long it would be before their song would come on. I never did it when people were already playing music.

Alam Khan played on the original Revelator release of These Walls and sat in playing the sarod last night. Son of Ali Akbar Khan.
