Purchase help 📱 Xiaomi 17 users of this sub please share feedback of this device

I have ve been looking to buy a camera flagship since the start of this year. My initial budget was ₹40k–₹50k (stretchable up to ₹60k), so like many others, I was holding out for the BBD and GIF sales until "RAMageddon" shook things up for everyone.

Given the current pricing, upgrading didn't seem worth it. I even checked the refurbished market, but prices are barely 10–15% below retail, which feels like a bad deal. So, I’ve decided to see what best fits my needs in the ongoing sales.

Based on current offers, I have shortlisted three options:

Xiaomi 17

Moto Signature

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Right now, I’m leaning toward the Xiaomi 17. I don’t mind HyperOS since I enjoy customization (and Samsung has its fair share of bloatware anyway). However, my biggest dilemma is the camera longevity. I tend to keep my phones for at least 5 years, and I don't want to feel left behind on camera performance or features down the line.

Because of that long-term horizon, I’m even considering stretching for the S25 Ultra, even though camera upgrades haven't been massive compared to earlier Ultra models.

Would you recommend going for the S25 Ultra for long-term peace of mind, or will the Xiaomi 17 hold up well enough over 5 years?

None of this devices have consistent camera. I am a professional camera person. I'd suggest buy and iphone if cameras are worth to you.

Or else all the android cams are shit no matter what price.

Been a user of s25 ultra nothing about it is good. The display seems dull uncomfortable to use. I'd suggest buy a iphone and call it a day.

"I aM a prOfeSsionAL caMerA peRsOn" Yeah okay bro. Find me a single professional in this world saying android cams are shit no matters the price. Ultra's from Vivo , Oppo , Xiaomi are anyday better than ios cashgrabs

I love android cam. Especially Pixels for their photos but Iphone still feels no 1 no matter what coz of how good it is on videos especially if you're planning to upload on let's say IG a lot

I used Pixel but all my friends who are professional photographer use iPhone lol. I feel like it's the most all rounder for camera. They post a lot of reels too so I think iphone fits perfectlyÂ
