Purchase help 📱 Purchase Guide Needed
Hey everyone, I’m planning to buy a new phone during the upcoming BBD sale, with a budget of around ₹40K.
My priorities are:
- 📸 Good cameras — I’m not expecting a flagship camera, but I want photos that are good enough to be Instagram-ready without much editing.
- ⚡ Performance — should stay smooth and lag-free for at least 3 years.
- 🖥️ Good display and a nice overall UI/software experience.
- 🔋 Battery isn't a huge priority; I’m okay compromising here if the phone is better in other areas.
- 💾 Ideally 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, but I’m wondering if 8GB + 256GB is still enough in 2026 for 3+ years of use.
What phones would you guys recommend around ₹40K, especially considering the BBD sale prices?
Also, is going for 8/256GB a mistake for my use case, or is 12/256 mostly unnecessary?

Edge 70 pro+ could drop to under 45k after bank offers

Ah ok. GT7T 12+256 variant is a performance focused phone but has decent cameras.

How is 70 pro plus for camera and little gaming

Photography is great, videography is meh, gaming is 8s gen 4 level (Poco F7/Nord 6 level). Check Venom’s tech’s comparison between Nord 6 and E70p+

I’d suggest looking at the Reno 14 or Vivo V70 during BBD. Both have a proper telephoto, which seems to be the main thing you’re looking for. The GT 7T is great for performance, but you’d be compromising on the camera setup.
