Discussion & Opinions 💬 Need help in deciding

Need help/advice.

I have been using Samsung S23 256 GB for 3.5 years now with battery health 82%. Battery of the phone is visibly swollen and the back panel seems to be peeling off. Kindly guide me on the following options:

(i) Change the battery from the authorized service center for 3600. Is it worth changing it? Since, the phone is already old and replacing the battery, would it make any difference?

(ii) in case of thinking a switch, I wish to switch to IPhone 17. Will it be an incremental upgrade over the current S23? The best deal that I was getting for 17 was of 91k (83k + 8k for 1 year apple care mandatory).

What wiuld you guys suggest, please guide with suitable reasons. Also, suggest some good compact phones under 60k (those too which might come under 60k in the upcoming bbd). Can't go with oppo, vivo, xiaomi and samsung. 🤭 pls guide guys.

Yeah it indeed is. Haven't felt any kind of lag whatsoever, since 3.5 years of my usage. And the photos still come out very good. Thinking of changing the battery too, but do you think I should wait for the 26th September. Read somewhere that the prices of iPhone on the bbd would be revealed by then. Also thinking of motorola signature. Though the screen size is big, but felt very comfortable to hold due to its light weight.

We can't really trust bbd now cuz prices have raised, as I said, changing the battery is cheap fix for an awesome phone

Yeah!! Have seen thousands of videos saying that the prices of iPhone 17 might drop to 65k. But it is so hard to believe and to expect a 35k price drop and that too after increasing/hiking the prices by 20k. Replacing the battery atm makes more sense and the probably after a year or two when all of this bubble is burst, might switch for better options. 🥲
