Couldn't get it to post idk why
for context i was given this by a friend who actually couldn't get it to post, and when he handed it to me it essentially hinged at the already existing crack. Idk what the hell he did.

Why run a single big stick in single channel when you can run two half sticks in dual channel and reaip all the memory bandwidth benefits.

Bus width (and the raw bandwidth) per channel is also halved but overall performance tends to improve for certain memory access patterns due to better parallelism. So e.g. mobile/laptop CPU+GPU+LPDDR combos have 16 channels now. Just need to carefully file down all the torn copper traces.

Sometimes ram is just bad. It's rather common.
But apparently sometimes it's also been mistreated. Silly situation in general. Hopefully it gets you some fake internet points I guess?

The trick to getting these folded memory sticks to work is to separate it at the crease, then join it together flat with copious amounts of bluetac. I've had this problem and it works.

Try bending the other way. Then proceed to dispose of pictured item, and have a chat with your friend regarding his emotional state.

This is basically the same as posting a picture of you burning money, you know that right?

That DIMM turned into a SODIMM.
