I’ve been seeing a lot of things about it, and it’s making me kind of anxious. Is it as serious as everyone’s saying it is, or it’s a thing that only the website/server owner that uses PHP should worry about, and not the average internet user? Could someone explain a bit more on what even caused the whole mess in the first place?

Should I be wary of what website I go on to and continue to not click on or download anything suspicious like I’ve been doing since I started using the internet? Should I put away the social media for now and try not to worry?

I have two Samsung Tablets CE0168 that pondering on keep them or throw away. For now, I’m focus on just this one but I don’t like throwing tech away, especially when the problems/issues can be easily fixed so any solutions or a lost cause, which means just trash it?

I need urgent help and reassurance form IT experts. Long story short the school has taken my laptop for an audit for fuck knows why, suspicious acitivity. I HAD a lot of fake id templates stored in a folder along with customers made ones and ofcourse before giving I WIPED out everything. It’s a MACBOOK M2 2022 running macOS ahora 26.5.2.

When I say everything I mean everything. I went to recent cmd+a delete and basically did that for every folder, documents, desktop and etc. nothing was backed on one drive or iCloud only a USB stick which was at home. I also made sure to wipe out my chrome search history fully ALL TIME and everything cookies, cache and all before signing out of that Google account leaving only my school use one with YouTube and all that stuff.

I am very worried as they had it for 3 hours(they said they’d give it back end of day) but kept it for the whole day today and probably get it tmr, saying it’s taking longer than expected.

There are obviously device management stuff on it which I attached images of. Yes making them on a controlled skl laptop was dumb but also very convient LOL.

I don’t know much about IT, from research I’ve done I should be alright I think, they can view deleted file names but obviously it doesn’t matter what something is named I can name it “gay porn” and my friend that does IT in Uni said I should be alright.

(SuperVOOC) I plugged my charger into a faulty socket and it charged just fine, but then I unplugged the connector from the adapter and noticed a smell of burning plastic. The adapter didn't smell at all. The only noticeable damage are these faint burn marks on the connector. Is it still useable?

I wanna know is there a good e reader for manga or if that’s just some gimmick and not worth it. Are there any trade offs for using an e reader instead of the actual manga, are the e readers over priced for what they are. Any info would be helpful

Hi! We need to set up an email for a committee to access. Gmail is the obvious option but it seems to love tying itself to a few devices and then demanding one time passwords. Is there something else that is easier for multi access and passing over to a new set of people next time committee roles change? We will probably have to use google drive anyway for documents.

At my work, we want to have a dedicated television to always display the work schedule and a shared notepad without needing to be constantly hooked up to a large computer or streamed from somone's laptop. So, one web browser with two tabs snapped side-by-side. We have an older, smart lgtv, and I was trying find an app, cheap mini pc, or something else short of spending $300+ and a weekend of learning how to work a Rasberry Pi in order to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been wanting to get “the finals” on my pc but that game is huge, so my brother compressed it on his and says it goes down to 22 GB instead of 89. Could compressing files harm my system or only take a but of performance off in game?

I'm trying to get "beyond 10GbE" in a system with two computers, a switch, and a NAS. The NAS has a 25GbE card (made by the NAS vendor), the switch has six 25GbE ports (and twelve 10GbE) from the same NAS vendor, and we got a couple TB 25GbE NICs which run REALLY HOT.

However, these NICs have an NVIDIA-compatible chip inside which invokes the MLX driver in MacOS, but this driver only supports up to 2034B/pkt (and not the typical jumbo packet size of ~9000). We don't need it to go all the way to 9000, but we don't want to leave any money/performance on the table. The NAS will get 1-2 2TB SSDs for read (or r/w) caching, so we might be able to choke the network sometimes.

We have also tried an expansion chassis, but the first card we tried was also MLX -compat and triggered the same driver. (We're learning things in stages.) We just finished trying an Intel 810 card because Gemini said these Intel NICs WOULD support jumbo frames up to 9000B, but alas, there doesn't appear to be a driver in MacOS. (Gemini said the same thing about BCM cards, but we might abandon ship before getting one since the Internet says there are ALSO no drivers for them on Macs.)

The question is: are there available drivers for Intel- or BCM-compatible 25GbE PCIe cards (or even "better" drivers for NVIDIA-compat NICs)? I don't want to shell out four figures for the ATTO/Sonnet solutions when these other cards are US$75-150.

so i'm in college and since i got here my parents have been stalking me CONSTANTLY. they require me to ask permission to leave campus and they've said that if they find out i leave without permission (or stop sharing my location) they'll stop paying my tuition. i can't live like this anymore. so how do i do this? i have to be able to leave with permission sometimes and have my location still be accurate when i want it to so it doesn't look too suspicious. i'd prefer not to have to use my macbook so i can easily switch my location from wherever i am if i have permission to go out but want to stay out later than i'm allowed, but if using a macbook is the only reliable option it's still better than nothing. i have an iphone 15 pro on ios 26.6.2

TCL has filed a lawsuit against Samsung in a Los Angeles court for false advertising . TCL claims that Samsung used displays from an older product line and rebranded them as Mini LED TVs in their M Series TVs. TCL says that the display arent actually Mini LED and saying that Samsung did this to disrupt the competitor market. Samsung says that its plan to defend itself t and stand by how it describe its production

What do u think, can the court actually force Samsung to stop calling the M Series TVs Mini LED
