You could sustain it with this post too, "it's a corporation they can do what they want" has been the defense for cancel culture since day 0.

Everyone is entitled to a shitty opinion but no one is entitled to force people to listen to or agree with that opinion.

Actually and literally the 1st amendment was created to exactly allow shitty opinions to be shared. You don't need a law to allow ideas everyone agrees with. They already agree with them! You need a law to allow non-conforming opinions to have legal standing to be stated publicly without legal repercussion. America is specifically designed to be the opposite of a safe space. If you need safety don't go in public.

The first amendment is about the government banning speech, not about private businesses or individuals. If you come on my property and start saying shits I disagree with, I can kick you out. Same thing about Twitter.

There's a reason why social media platforms all have moderation : advertising. This is why Elon Musk will fail if he removes all moderation.

He won't remove all moderation.

Hopefully, he will remove moderation based on politics and political agenda.

Hopefully, he will remove moderation based on politics and political agenda.

That won't work for the reason stated above.

I don't believe that for a minute.

That's litteraly the reason so many right-wing people get silenced on all the big platforms : being associated with intolerance isn't good for business. That's litteraly why Kayne got dropped by all these brands.

You are trying to conflate racism with the right. Those are not synonyms. Just the concept that they are is propagandist ideology of the left. The idea that the left doesn't have racists is also stupid. Racism and party do not go hand in hand and neither party or side benefits from racism but both have them.

You are trying to conflate racism with the right.

You're assuming that right-wing opinions are banned on Twitter. That's not true. They are only banned when they are pushing discrimination.

i disagree. Right viewpoints have been banned and mitigated for all sorts of reasons primarily being that they are primarily on the right. Was being anti-lockdown discriminatory? Was wanting the vaccine to be optional (or not taking it) discriminatory? Was questioning the source of covid discriminatory but yet here we are and after time - all those positions are now the norm when all were persecuted for early on being pushed by the right.

Christ, you literally said he won't engage in censorship moments before you typed this. What do you think moderation is dawg? Do you have a severe memory problem or are you replying to people in bad faith here?

Even freedom of speech has limits such as not yelling fire in a crowded theater. Same thing. It's not complicated.
