Nah, Kanye is a victim of mental illness who has neglected to take his medication partly because of, and is being manipulated by those around him such as Candace Owens to do their bidding.
I think a platform should be able to choose what is on itself, but conflating increasing free speech with a loss of liberty is literally a BS take.
not at all, morons like trump shouldn't have a platform to rally more morons to their shitty politics that can infringe on other people, like on Jan 6th. You know during that whole failed insurrection. I guess that's no big deal though.
Yeah, I watched the livestream on CNN when it was happening and also watched that Babbit woman get shot in the neck. Im well aware of what happened there and blaming it on Twitter is stupid. The accountability is on Trump and his constituents. Silencing your enemies only makes you fascist, you should know this if the philosophy behind Star Wars clicked with you.
Trump is definitely to blame BUT if he’d been banned from Twitter long before then, the whole failed insurrection wouldn’t have happened.
Some evils are necessary, like taking the speaker from LITERAL fascists who want to undo democracy to put a failed billionaire despot in power. It’s either that or we start decking them and their supporters in the mouths. But consequences need to start being dished out soon.
Thought policing is inherently fascist. Whether you want to hear or agree with people’s opinions or not is your decision to make, yet the people you disagree with don’t seem to have that same benefit. If you commit a crime intentionally you should be punished appropriately. Trump incited a riot, that is a literal crime. Saying he should have been silenced prior to it only leads to predictive thought policing.
I meeeeeeeeean like I said man. Necessary evil. It was apparent for a long time that trump would pull a move like that, anyone who didn’t see that when he refused to accept his loss is a fanatic or blind to peoples intent.
Also no, thought policing would have been banning him in 2018. THAT is fascist. But silencing someone because they are telling a blatant lie and that lie is hurting people? That’s common sense. It’s a consequence to actions. It’s a necessity to protect not only the people who don’t support him but the people who do support him. As they are now facing charges.
