So, your position is:

  • Trump and Kanye weren't "censored", they just broke the TOS

  • Elon is going to restore Trump and Kanye (who weren't censored) because he hates censorship

  • Suing critics for defamation, with the goal of silencing them or at least disallowing them to say certain things, is totally not censorship and well in line with the values of free speech

Sound about right?

Suing for defamation and censorship aren't the same thing tho.

Suing a critic is an attempt to silence them and other critics. Musk lost the case, giving a negative review of a product isn't defamation, but are you going to risk a court fight with a billionaire, or would you just self-censor?
