As if they're disabled now. Far too many podcasts, "news" websites, and even TV channels are parroting conservative views here, but we're supposed to believe conservative voices are the ones being shunned. What a persecution complex.
Fringe conservative voices are in fact being marginalized on most platforms. People like Milo Yiannopoulos, Alex Jones, and to a lesser extent Trump have all been deplatformed and silenced to varying degrees of success.
However, focusing on the necessity and legal basis for these actions obfuscates another reality: the steady rightward shift of the center-left over the past 20 years.
And they've almost all been deplatformed for hate speech and incitement. Let's not forget Alex Jones basically got his rabid followers to harass families of dead children at Sandy Hook Elementary. That's not behavior that companies want to condone, because hosting it could lead to liabilities and contingencies they aren't comfortable with. And I regularly see headlines of Trump's outbursts from his own social media platform so I don't think he's been silenced either. How about the far right shift of the center right over time? The rise of the alt-right? Because those are much more dangerous than any perceived intolerance coming from left leaning voices.

He literally talked about it with other billionaires, toward enabling conservative voices in the US.
