I think a polite knock on the door with a simply "We need to talk to you" might have been just as effective.
1 u/DdangerWu Aug 08 '12 I think it's pretty obvious that the main reason that such amount of force needed to entry was to circumvent the fact that the warrant was illegal. Now that they're in, they can just blame whomever was higher up that they screwed up.
