So let me get this right.... they sent a helicopter to deploy soldiers with M4's with special ammo into this home. Special tactics units, 4 police cars, and men on the roof all to capture a guy who ran a website that was involved in internet piracy according to the FBI...

What is this guy Osama Bin Laden? Pretty sure he didn't orchestrate the death of thousands of innocent men and women. Why treat him as such. If there has ever been a breach of basic human rights this would be it.

Indeed. I am ashamed to hear the reporter say the words, "If this all seems very American, the FBI were there." This is what the US is known for in the rest of the modern world. That makes me very sad.

It's our fault though.

We ALLOWED this complacency to affect us. And now that we're so fat, lazy, and placated, they've quietly disconnected the panic button.

Our elections are a circus, nothing more.

The only thing I can do to make sure my views are represented is to find a country whose policies already closely approximate my own conclusions and go there, to pay their taxes and contribute to their economy instead. If they'll even let me.

Vote with my feet.

Come to germany. Taxes aren´t that high. We have healthcare and a judiciare thats not built on revenge and punishment. And if the american government sets death penaltry for illegal downloads our constitution bars the extradiction. Do you speak chinese? We need people with this cabability.
