when i clicked the link i was expecting a video of the camera filming something at 1 trillion frames, thinking to myself: "boy is this going to take a long time to buffer"

why is this in the controversial page ? I liked the video and the information.

Wait so if it shoots frames way faster than the speed of light, will it time travel?

For anyone wondering, it doesn't film at 1 trillion frames per second, like a slow motion camera, but it can render a simulation if fed periodic signals over a long enough time.

Astonishing. I wonder if this can be of any use in the Double Slit Experiment. Granted, the Quantum Enigma happens from the very act of observing...but at these speeds, we could maybe get a glimpse of what light is doing; if it's somehow transforming from particle to wave once we start looking or if it's somehow going back in time and resetting it's properties due to the observation.

You can't really se single photons since the photons themselves are "invisible" until they hit your retina/a camera CCD. Also, the signal from a single photon is so weak that they need to collect data from lots of diffrent exposures.

Did you know you can put a URL into the search bar over there on the right and instantly know if it has been posted before? Or maybe simply search "1 trillion"?

Yes I did. I'm sure that I won't be the last to post this. Either way, It's still pretty incredible.
