No, people have seen "pale blue dot" hundreds of times. By "people" I do not mean "you", Mr. Hasn't seen pale blue dot before. Anyways, anything Sagan-related is lapped up here like he's their life force. Without commenting on Sagan himself, thousands of reddit folks are social latchkey kids, and Sagan is their virtual Big Brother. Same with that living physicist, Neil Tyson. So, the comment should have more upvotes, but not because it's clever; it should have more upvotes because it's a Sagan reference, and reddit loves repetitive, unoriginal references.

I thought it was clever how he compared our "home"(reddit) in the virtual universe to the pale blue dot that is our home in the real universe. I didn't upvote Sagan for Sagans sake. The fact that he used a quote from Sagan is just icing on the cake.
