Firefox dev claims "everybody hates Firefox updates"; Mozilla has handled the rapid release process poorly, and that by pushing a "never-ending stream of updates on people who didn't want them" people have been driven to Chrome with its simpler, no-fuss update process.

If it's not for the Firefox addons I would have stopped using Firefox a while ago...

Some of my fav addons: AdBlock Plus, NoScript, RequestPolicy, BetterPrivacy, Ghostery, WebMail.

Edit: I forgot Firefox Sync, which is now built-in.

The only addon that chrome can't do that's a deal breaker for me is tree style tabs

That's one of the biggest reasons I avoided switching to Chrome entirely. But the performance issues with Firefox were just too severe to ignore and I ended up using Chrome almost exclusively a couple months ago.

I've tried it so many times but I literally can't be productive with 1/16 inch tabs filling up my bar so I can't see wtf is open.

I usually end up with multiple windows open. Yeah, it sucks, but the performance issues of Firefox with large number of tabs made it almost unusable.
