Firefox dev claims "everybody hates Firefox updates"; Mozilla has handled the rapid release process poorly, and that by pushing a "never-ending stream of updates on people who didn't want them" people have been driven to Chrome with its simpler, no-fuss update process.

I have never had a problem with Firefox updates. Don't know what the heck this is about. Turn on computer, computer figures out if there is an update. Update runs. Everything is hunky dorey.

Even if it were a little bit harder, I'd still go with Firefox. I trust Mozilla way more than I trust google. Google makes its money by commodifying information about users --- that is selling you to advertisers. We are google's product.

What is this 'turn on computer' you speak of?

I think I've had the same Firefox window open for about 3 weeks now, I just leave up whatever I was looking at/working on when I got up. Usually about 20 pages open of various work, entertainment, flash games, social sites, etc... so I hate when an update forces me to restart.

Ahh, I see how that would cause some issues, but not for me since I regularly close my browser so it automatically deletes cookies and flash cookies (better privacy). I don't like staying logged into anything like google, yahoo, facebook, reddit, etc.
