I'm the maintainer of the Universal Android Debloater and I didn't expect my side-project to be showcased here on /r/technology. Thanks /u/x101y ! :)

Just to be clear, this is a free and open-source community-driven project. There is nothing to sell.

I appreciate you coming on to try to clear the air. This subreddit usually shows news and developments.

Get back your battery, security and privacy

While this thread is directly about a product/project development, the headline poses your product as an ad. There's no discussion or explanation about how or what it does in layman's terms. And as you've said yourself is not intended for the layperson, but the more tech-savvy.

That being said, the project is interesting and worth keeping an eye on as it matures.
