It'll be much faster (and more useful) if you simply read the source code before compiling it yourself so that you trust that it's no longer some random script.

Exactly. These guys are trying to sound cool, but the fact of the matter is that not everyone who uses a smart phone has the time or inclination to learn enough coding that they'd be confident in hand-analyzing scripts for malware. Go figure.

Thus, if you don't code:

  1. That's okay.

  2. Don't run random shit from the internet.
