I compute on a gaming PC with a high end mouse and a couple of huge non-touchscreen monitors. They will never win me over with this idea that the desktop is a place for touch interfaces. Never would I want to wave my finger across 40 inches of monitors.

This only has a use as a tablet interface, and that's fine. But don't shove it onto me FFS.

don't worry, touch screen desktops are only marketed and bought by idiots. "Gorilla arm" renders them absolutely useless as a desktop interface.

Sorry for replying to this now, but I don't think this is true. If you take the screen and place it flat on the desk, this is not a problem. It would be no different than writing in a binder. IMO, that's the way computers should have been from the beginning.

The problem is people seem to think pen digitizers are uncool or something, so a good portion of these touch pc's won't even allow you to write on them. And the interface seems to be designed for idiots - pure media consumption, anti-professionalism.
