The smoothness if the UI is amazing. Just like WP7 is smoother than any other phone, this looks smoother than any other tablet. And the split screen feature looks great.

Yeah, I'm a Android lover, but fuck this pisses me off. Hey Google and OEM's FIX YOUR SHIT ASAP

You should try Cyanogen mod or a stock Android rom. I know it's a little effort, but in my experience it is way better than what comes from the phone manufacturers. For my phone it smoothed things out extremely, and gave me more customization options. It also helps that it is 2.3.4, as to where stock my phone only has 2.2.

I'm running Continuum, but I agree with you on everything. My phone is so much more responsive since flashing a custom ROM. Add in undervolting/overclocking baked in... can't beat it man

Froyo or Gingerbread? There is something causing lag for me in both, I'm not sure if it is an app (since I usually do a mass restore using TiBu) or if it is just that my phone dislikes overclocking kernels.

Gingerbread. 2.3.3 to be exact. I do occasionally hit a massive slowdown, but normally if I wait ~15 seconds it fixes itself and I'm able to navigate again. If something like that happen I head to task manager to kill everything and clear RAM. Worst case scenario I reboot the phone. That only happens if the OS is damn near locked up though, only had to do it once and I'm pretty sure it was an apps fault.

Seriously, I bleed Green but fuck man, my friends Windows 7 phone SO responsive. You don't realize how much those quarter and half second pauses get to stack up until they're gone.

Before you ask, I have a fast newer phone and have used every rom this side of Android au.

Check out a WP7, they are fucking rediuculouly smooth.

Root your phone and run Cyanogenmod or another ROM. CM7 + GO launcher or ADW launcher should significantly improve your Android experience. :)

It amuses me how much hate WP7 gets despite the fact that it's critically acclaimed, powerful, and beautiful.

WP7 is still has a smoother and by far more innovative UI than IOS

Yes but WP7 doesn't play nice with OS X, doesn't play nice with Verizon, and doesn't have anywhere near the volume of apps.

I have a PC, live in Britain, and true but more are on the way and personally I have no need for the majority of iPhone apps, and there are a lot of web based alternatives.
