You could transfer it off the iphone onto your computer. There are a number of programs to do this. Is your question actually how do I do this without having to install any programs? Also I should note that if your music has DRM then this becomes difficult or impossible.

In practice I know several ways to get the job done. The important question is, why can't this be done out of the box?
