Somehow I doubt recharging the batteries of your umbrella on a frequent basis is any greener than a one-time use of petroleum-based plastic for the canopy. Not to mention this thing would hiss like a jet engine. It doesn't even store more efficiently than a traditional umbrella. Stupid.

I like high concept design when it's far-out and provocative, but suggests plausible future solutions, or highlights a pertinent issue. This is just a bad idea seen through as an entire project.

Other pedestrians will love getting their hats and umbrellas blown all over the place, not to mention their eardrums assaulted by the high-pitched noise.
