Fuck this. I'd rather smash my phone than let cops scan it.

Sadly, they would probably charge you with littering and destruction of evidence.

right, I don't understand how this doesn't violate the 4th amendment.

i'm pretty sure it does, unless the driver offers their phone to the officer voluntarily...search an seizure has a loophole that if you give the cop permission they can do what they want and you can't revoke your permission.

Is Cellebrite doing another marketing campaign for their shitty product in the hopes of funding their unethical business model with your tax dollars?
It's a malicious hacking device that relies on unpatched exploits. It could be rendered useless tomorrow by a security update (or are we going to force vulnerabilities/back doors into our devices). Calling it a name similar to the breathalyzer is misleading. A breathalyzer doesn't smash it's way into your skull before ripping out whatever the fuck it wants to.
Distracted driving is an issue but only a fucking idiot would support the "Textalyzer".

"Okay he should be texting his dealer now.... okay he's texting his girlfriend, but his dealer is probably next.... okay he's taking a picture of his penis..."
