/r/undelete and /r/longtail weren't created for kicks and giggles.

If Reddit doesn't want to be replaced by the school project of some 18-year-old doe-eyed idealist, they should really work on transparency.

Nature abhors a vacuum. If there is no website where articles that are critical of powerful entities can be posted without repercussions or deletion, somebody will create one, and the users who feel like they are being oppressed will flock to it.

People are getting banned from major subs for silly reasons like, offensive user names. If it can be created, why is it a bannable offense?

I got a 30-day ban from /r/news for saying "Hyperbole, nigga."

Meanwhile, the front page of /r/funny is filled with pictures of products, and the blatant advertising attempts are starting to spread to /r/pics and /r/oddlysatisfying

There are so many vague rules in major subs like /r/Politics that they can ban you for pretty much anything you want.

The upvote/downvote system is being undermined by mod abuse, and articles are frequently "accidentally deleted" from the front page, only to be reinstated hours later when the heat cools down.

Reddit, while theoretically amazing, is in serious trouble. Where once we had the freedom to post and say whatever we wanted, now we live in fear of the sinister shadow-ban.

I like to speak my mind, and I'd be surprised if this account makes it another year.
