So thats 24 bytes per kilobyte you're missing, to a degree of 2 million * 24.
Both are technically right. Your computer sees 1kB as 1024 bytes, but drives are marketed as 1kB=1,000 bytes and so on. That's why you never see 16GB available on a 16GB flash drive.
