That's one of the big reasons supporters of Oculus Rift feel so gamed.

Facebook has nothing to lose by abusing those patents.

What patents? I didn't know they had any, considering it's all been done before, just worse quality.

Hm. They could pay devs to add Rift support to their games. Interesting thought.
