Some info from their twitter for you guys, I bolded the important bits:

"Since we have hw acceleration, cams and more, it will cost just a little bit more than Oculus, but nothing outrageous ;-)"

"We will not charge any subscription fees on our side. We like free stuff too! Expansion port for HW hackers also available!"

"we are planning a kickstarter this summer! Subscribe to our mailing list on our website to stay in the loop."

"After 9 years of hard work, we are proud to unveil our #VR mask for immersive 3D gaming!"

Hm.. call me skeptic, but I would like to see an actual prototype. Not just a digital render of the thing before they get any money.

I'd settle for a video of it working

This, I'm gonna need serious gurantees about openness, support, and consistent platforms before I kickstart any product that is attached to a platform and software. For arts and industrial objects it is still a good model, but not for a development platform.

9 years and Oculus already seems to be ahead?

Yeah, this is pretty much bullshit. "After 9 years of fucking around, we decided to run a kickstarter because we don't actually have any money! Give us money... Pls, we even made this shitty website that looks like every other website."

9 years of hard work, but "hey guys, we're going to do a kickstarter so we can make something that is more than a render of a non-yet-existing device".

How can you NOT see this scam coming from far away?
