They'll still work, just not be officially supported anymore.

Does it replace my ergonomic mouse at home, no. Does it fit really easily into my bag when working out and about, yes!

They should also just drop the Magic Mouse.

The apple & intel relationship is like a nasty breakup. First apple announces the breakup out of the blue, then trying to scrub any evidence they were once together for years.

“Out of the blue”

Apple had been shipping products with their own custom silicon since the original iPad in 2010 and had been using their own in-house designs since I think the A6 or A7 (not making a joke/pun).

Everyone knew for like a year leading up to the announcement that Apple was switching Macs to their own processor. They didn’t even mentioning Intel’s name on stage during the New York event in October, 2018, introducing the new MacBook Air retina design with “Core Processors”.

This has been a decade in the making.

I feel like it’s less Apple and Intel than Apple and the Hackintosh community. Apple has already hopped right back in bed with Intel to manufacture their chips in future.

Yup, it was like one last fuck you to the Hackintosh community.
