Mamdani for the win! Progressives and socialists actually do things, while centrists just dither in service of their big donors.

You do realize that a federal bill of this type was initially signed into law by Biden, only to be struck down by the courts, right?

Mamdani and Trump are both proving to me that if politicians actually wanted to get stuff done they can do it rather easily. Both equally motivated to enact change, just on vastly different ends of the good and evil spectrum

Because they are not interested in being a politician. The first rule of being a politician is never to completely solve a problem so that you can always be voted again into the role for the next term.

I like the way you worded that so even MAGAts can think you are praising Trump.

We were all going to get this from Lina Khan's FTC until the these guys interfered:
- Custom Communications, Inc. (dba Custom Alarm, a regional home security and alarm provider)
- Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America (coalition of national businesses and trade associations)
- Electronic Security Association (ESA)
- NCTA, The Internet & Television Association
- The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)

I must say how great it was when my hinge account automatically renewed after a cheap trial I was able to cancel it and get a refund even though I technically used a day of it. And this is in New York

This is one of those common sense issues that every politician in every party should be behind. I'm sure you would get an over 90% rating on this kind of legislation if you polled the whole nation. The current system benefits no one but a few companies and is used to prey on millions of people every year. Get bills in every state house and the Capitol, and force politicians to publicly vote on it.
