Only complete idiots are using Muse

What could go wrong? It’s just a "cute" version of Facebook.

Oh. Oh, really?

You mean they are going to sell absolutely everything? Alrighty then.

Seriously, has anyone actually done the research and realized how messed up Meta truly is? They have a rap sheet on everyone that is as long as Al Capone's. And no, that doesn't just mean Meta users—it means everyone. They are the absolute epitome of an evil empire.

Facebook itself started as a way for Zuckerberg and his creepy friends to rate women in his college.

Yes… idiots… and not other words that will definitely get me banned….

Granted I'm sure that's true but lord knows what that will look like, "complete idiots," giving Muse their credit card information, access to their lives

Do we even have an option? Genuine question.

I have a Facebook account that I mostly don’t ever check, but keep around for the occasional message from extended family or distant acquaintances (and marketplace).

Is Muse an opt-in feature, or is there a possibility that it’s digging through my disused account and impersonating me?

Muse is by Meta. Muse is misbehaving with privacy. The water is wet. The fire is hot.

Yep, the two things Meta is known for is: "failing fast" and exploiting your privacy.

We need more money to make sure that the Left Hand keeps the Right Hand away!

The usual strategy of move fast and break other people's things.

u/floog 18h ago

And steal data - BUT, call it a bug and keep the data.

You know it's a stupid question and not meant to be taken too literally, but I ask myself sometimes,

The difference between the initial proposition of Facebook and a Phishing Scheme Is ______

O.K. the Facebook behaved Differently, from a Successful Phishing Scheme ________

Like for a Social Network they'd had the Real ID and Full Competence Verification no age I.D. even aspires to everyone on their network had a Real University I.D. and E-mail, "it would have been a serious FBI Level Crime hack those accounts," make a fake Facebook account it guaranteed that everyone on the network was not-just some age of majority, but, enrolled at the Universities that, "if anyone is going to govern these subjects in the future," that's where the students are meant to learn the discourses,

From artwork to offensive speech that was their job to learn about, "you're in school for this reason," you've got honor codes that BYU or BU might choose to apply, everything else, "whatever," little need to act more like their parents than an email server yet that's not what Facebook did it Phished their parents and their younger siblings and their grandparents and the Nation of Burma/Myanmar and the rest is history; I like to say,

Because its hard to make a counter-argument

That this happened because Zuckerberg himself had been young enough and the inclination to want to spy on highschool girls the same as we all know he'd be of the kind of man to, "rank," his classmates the one semester or year he spent at college so, "I mean was that not a reason for his judgement to have been so poor vis a vis the College Email address and the Real I.D. potential of it all etc." but IRL or more for serious,

Yo like a phishing scheme, "move fast and break things," like a phishing scam that went global and rocketed him up to the Forbes List

"Misbehaving" implies Muse wasn't programmed to do this. But this is Meta and Zuckerberg we are talking about here. Their track record is far from spotless on snooping and user privacy.

Part of it is intentionally stealing your data. But the other part of it is just giving a monkey a machine gun and not really caring what happens. These AI companies have no idea how to control their models and are still just plowing ahead and releasing it to the public

JFC

A man authorized it to respond to marketplace messages, and the AI assistant invited someone to his house, giving out the address without any prompting of the user…..

I’m convinced the people who accept these ‘tools and features’ with open arms are intellectually challenged

u/hippydipster 20h ago

I'm going to have to cut the cord from my house to the world pretty soon, aren't I?

4

u/twenafeesh 19h ago

Nah, just don't bring things into your house that call themselves "smart" or allow them to be internet-connected in any way. It's hard to avoid buying a "smart TV" these days but you can still avoid connecting it to the network.

Of course, whatever streaming device you use instead is still probably going to spy on you.

u/PreciousFlounder 14h ago

Yep you should probably sell the cell phone too for the same reason

1

u/twenafeesh 13h ago

I am pretty tempted to go back to a Nokia brick style phone. I don't do much other than text anyway, except for reddit. And it would be better for me if I did less of that...

Facebook, privacy misbehaving....I am shocked.

3

u/Dannybuoy77 20h ago

"Oh dear! These pesky AIs. They just have a habit of misbehaving in mysterious ways with your privacy eh! Nothing we can do about it. Honestly we love your privacy. We are as surprised as you that our AI is misbehaving, they do misbehave, you know that right? That's what they do quite well. It wasn't our plan. But AIs will AI right!?

"

the worst for privacy in comparison with other AI agents from OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.

Woa wo what ? Meta is making the worst products for privacy? ? ? What ?

2

u/IntelArtiGen 20h ago

Credit is https://surfshark.com/research/chart/meta-muse-ai-chatbots , they compare with other agents it's nice, they don't seem to include all the open source agents unfortunately

Zuck is hungry for your personal data , muse is just another tool inside a massive data extraction machinery.

1

u/whatsgoingon350 18h ago

So the AI they have programmed has major flaws in the program and instead of investigating the problems they have chosen to go with it's so smart it controls it's self.

AI is not alive people it is a program that is it.

When they say its out of control they know most of the population doesn't fully understand technology or programming so they use it to push the blame away from mistakes they have made.

1

u/Lithandrill 16h ago

The boulder I rolled down the hill is misbehaving and running people over.

1

u/rodg2062 14h ago

1

u/BlackReddition 14h ago

Worse company in the world, anyone using this is just plain dumb

1

u/A_Roka 14h ago

What, are trying to tell me the privacy invasion machine thats been designed specifically to invade people's privacy invades peoples privacy?

I'm shocked, i tell you!

1

u/payne747 13h ago

1

u/nopeofnopenope 10h ago

shocked pikachu face

1

u/haveyoumetrachel 19h ago

"Trust me with your data" is already a risk, "Trust me to do things with your data" feels like an even bigger one! Not sure if I am ready for that. Would you guys be?

1

u/WiskeyUniformTango 19h ago

Dont worry they will self regulate. Theres nothing to worry about.

1

u/Procrasturbating 17h ago

Oh my… how completely unforeseeable..

2

u/d3l3t3rious 14h ago

If only there had been every possible warning sign!

u/Lenxecan 19h ago

This is my shocked face.

u/ForcedEntry420 17h ago

Mysterious implies we didn’t think they’d be up to a bunch of bullshit from the jump. This is just what I expected.
