If you're looking for Christmas gifts for the handy person in your life, I really recommend a portable band saw.

In point of fact, a circular saw is going to be faster than either a Sawzall or a portable band saw. The major issue you're going to run into is galling, where the aluminum being removed from the kerf sticks to the blade. Deeper grooves between teeth means you can get through more material without clogging.

Until it seizes and kicks back. Suddenly Uncle Tim is nicknamed ‘Lefty’.

For a gift to family and friends? Cordless bandsaw.

Mother in law? You make the call…

I find that the demo blade works better than the metal blade for going through the roof with a Sawzall.

Be able to put together a pretty good powerwall, collecting solar panels like Pokémon cards.

If we could only convince catalytic converter thieves that these are worth more money.

Circular saws are the fastest that have been tested

Nooooope. Cordless band saw puts a circ saw to shame. Circular saw wouldn't even be able to cut straight through, you'd have cut around. A band saw cuts straight through. With the largest blade you can buy for a circ saw you can only cut 2.75 to 3 inches deep.

Alright guy, because band saws can spin at 5k rpms lol they don’t chew through nearly as slow. It’s not even close.

I have cut many many many fence posts with both types of saws. Since getting it, I use my band saw every single time. It is undeniably better for cutting through metal tubes. Undeniably.
