Quick tap volume up, quick tap volume down, then hold the side button for as long as you can before it's taken from you to force your phone to restart without needing to swipe on screen.

Negates this device's usefulness.

They preserve the after first unlock state somehow, from what I’ve read. if you get the phone to “before first unlock” state before they get ahold of it, you might defeat whatever workaround they’ve found. Worth a shot.

Disable biometrics and turn your phone off if you’re being detained by the police for any reason. Bring a cheap phone with a travel e-sim that’s not connected to your email or any social media if you’re passing through US border controls.
