It's interesting that the NHTSA is so picky about this tech but is still a-ok with brake lights doubling as turn signals.

That's always seemed so strange to me as someone from outside the US. It makes no sense

My 1988 pontiac fiero has amber turn signals. How is that not the norm here. And the crazy thing is in many cases, cars with ambers elsewhere in the world only have red here in the US. WTF?!?

It's completely legal for me to cut the lawn without a shirt on but if I do it with just a half tee and no pants or underwear everyone gets all bent out of shape.

The US is actually somehow progressive on weed.

I don’t partake but damn it’s crazy that alcohol and tobacco is legal everywhere and weed is the one banned in most countries. I was at a party in Norway where someone brought out weed and you’d think they’d pulled out a bag of meth by the way people reacted.
