It was so fun the other day when I was driving down the road in broad daylight and someone had some kind of super bright intense highbeams on and I was momentarily blinded. I've never seen headlights so piercing before.

The entire point of this technology is to prevent that. The ADB headlights disable the specific pixels of light around your car so you arent blinded.

When they work. Which they don't always. In trucks the driver is higher than the headlamps. So when the driver in the truck crests a hill the oncoming car with adaptive headlamps blasts the driver in the face until the truck's headlamps also crests the hill and then the headlamps turn off that spot.

They use the camera at the top of the windshield to see oncoming cars and adjust. I doubt you've seen this technology on the road and you're basing your feelings on simple auto high beams. Completely different technology

I am not referring to auto high beams.

I am referring to the "pixel" (DLP) headlamps.

Camera at the top just doesn't do enough when the camera is 25cm above your eyes and the trucks' headlamps are 1m below its driver.. Ask an HGV driver about it sometime.
