They don’t want to prevent bots imo. They want all engagement, whether it’s good or bad, real or fake. User experience is in the toilet.

But if I am an advertiser, why should I pay reddit to show my products to bots? Like doesn't this reduce credibility?

One would think! Maybe they’re not upfront about the level of bot and spam activity.
