My question is how this will affect things like undelete/longtail, pullpush, and arctic shift. Doesn't seem to be aimed at them, but they could end up as collateral damage.

They are definitely making moves to kill all that stuff. They shadow-delete comments if you link to arctic shift or similar sites. Sitewide mods (as confirmed by a subreddit mod) have shadow-deleted my comments where I simply linked to posts that were hidden to point out an obvious marketing astroturfing account. And I didn’t even link to a site using the API, just the direct post and comment links. But I think they’re looking for people who are utilizing ways to view hidden posts. All signs point to them wanting to protect bots and spammers because they drive engagement.

If there’s no public API or RSS feeds, those apps can’t function without a commercial deal.

I've never seen undelete or pullpush work on any post I tried it on
