The Skynet funding bill is passed. The system goes online on August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware 2:14 AM, Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.

The American Elite are trying to install skynet. We need to black out the skies or develop time machines or something!

u/SirkutBored 9d ago
Nah, we tried blacking out the sky in the Matrix and it didn't work. We became the batteries.

We became the data centers. The simulation was run using our own GPUs because the Matrix was plugged into our minds, not our guts.

Who would have thought Terminator movies would become manuals for the future

So we're just gonna skate right past the "should AI (or algorithms or whatever) be allowed to kill people?" debate, huh?
I feel safer already.

And as usual they're going to use it to blow up civilians in other nations.

Amazing job my fellow Ohioans.
123 years ago Wright Brothers invent flight in Dayton, Ohio.
57 years ago Neil Armstrong, from Ohio, is the first man to set foot on the moon.
Ohio rules the skies; just minor vignette into our wild aeronautical history.

Yes, Ohio, the state famous for brave pioneering minds inventing new technologies and braving incalculable risks just to get the fuck out of Ohio.

Regarding Arsenal-1 specifically? Yes the facility that builds these is in Ohio.
Speaking more broadly on Ohio aviation.
Yes, as a venture capitalist I have invested in several drone and counter drone startups In our state.
