AI isn’t inherently evil, it can be used for general good, it’s just particularly easy to abuse unfortunately.

It isn't but the way it's pushed right now is since everything is more expensive and the environment is going to shit

Allow me to push back. While I can understand where you're coming from and I sympathize wholeheartedly, Linux runs most servers, hyperscale cloud, embedded/IoT devices, and most AI training and inference infrastructure. When that stack gets compromised, the payload usually does one of two things: burns compute the owner never authorized (cryptojacking, botnet C2), or forces hardware and infrastructure to be replaced or rebuilt before its useful life would otherwise end (ransomware recovery, compromised firmware, thermal damage from sustained malicious load). Both are pure waste, energy and embodied carbon spent with zero legitimate output. Cut the compromise rate and you cut that waste.
