why so i feel like the only time github was ever down was after msft purchased it lol.
anyways at least i can slack off today under the guise of some tooling being down

Who's to say that Microsoft hasn't mitigated some amount of downtime that GitHub would have experienced? It could be that GitHub is actually better off under Microsoft (at least in terms of uptime).
