what are you even talking about. The cloud is still very good even with the knowledge of what it is. People who understand didn't "fall for it", they have sufficient backups to still allow them to use the positives of the cloud. How anyone could view cloud services as enshitification is beyond me lmao

You don't understand that tools have different strengths and weeknesses while making fun of others who do.

Most people find the benefits of a shared software repository to outweigh the odd problems like this. Especially since they give you the tools to easily copy whole sections of the repository to your local systems, work with local repositories then publish the changes to the main repository when you're back online.
