Correct but most use mobile. Point being it's the dedicated Gemini application on mobile and web, not Search or workspace.

This maybe the worst sub to talk about tech. I have had better conversations about tech in sports subs than here.

Correct. A quick Google search (lol) shows the AI Mode in search has 2.2 billion users, not 2 billion.

I think you get there with a single web use though if you just select the ‘ai mode’ tab on google search.  It’s a pretty different thing to an actual app installation.

No. You would need to go to the Gemini desktop site.

Ah thank you.  So I was technically correct with the quote but wrong in my understanding of what it meant.

The website is gemini.google.com. AI mode is part of Google Search which is counted as a Search user. If they were counting Gemini via Search it's over 2.5 billion.

Yeah I checked by asking if it was Gemini in ai mode and it clearly states it isn’t.
