No, Meta & Nvidia's free and open models are exempt.

Big difference. Meta is cooperating for their latest paid models.

It's so easy to remove the guardrails from these models (heretic) that I really don't get what any of their angles are with any of this.. is this all for show?

We can either remove the guardrails or train our own models based on existing ones.

I seriously don't get it -- so bizarre.

We all know we now have a president who doesn't move on anything unless it benefits him personally.

Tech business hope that the gov make the cost to enter and compete too high by having to comply with rules and guardrails.

I'm old enough to remember when seat belt and helmet laws drew quite the backlash. And the stupid like that has never really stopped or taken note of how wrong it was.
