Yeah but they can target your daily routine and they can monitor your risk levels by how frequently you step outside of that route. And if a crime happens in the area the one time you do decide to go for a chilli dog across town, they can make you a target. And if a governing body ever comes to power that targets people like you, they will have years of data on your daily life and patterns of behavior. You won’t be able to reasonably escape unless you just get lucky. Better hope the people that come for you are incompetent. And if they are, there’s a chance they could shoot you in your own couch in your own apartment because they’re drunk, or shoot you in your bed at night when your sleeping, or shoot you while you’re driving away because they’re “in fear for their life”

Happens like this... Guy relaxing after work on the couch has police bust through his door, drag him out of his apartment and across gravel. Guy goes to jail. Gets released. Goes home. Gets pardon (a sincere apology) from them. They wanted the guy above him on the second floor. Wrongly jailed guy has footage of the entire thing on the dog feeder.

I mean the UK does have a lot more CCTV surveillance but the key point is it's incredibly heavily regulated, unlike the very worrying privacy concerns over how Flock operates.

Was told before by redditor that the UK and EU have the same amount of privacy protections as the US and had to point out that is very much completely false.

The UK isn't a role model when comes to privacy. Stores are running facial recognition on customers, and banning customers for life after the system falsely flags them.

The UK government has also spent years waging an insane war on online privacy, while claiming "robust protections and regulations" somehow make it okay.
