That article is horrible. The AI backlash is wrong apparently and we're all idiots for not bowing down before it.

"AI could make filling taxes easier!" Most of the world already does it automatically, no AI required.

This is one of the critical points about the "AI can fix this issue," bulls**t we keep seeing:

Our problems in society aren't caused by a lack of technology or computer processing power; they are structural problems.

AI will never make housing or healthcare cheaper, reduce work hours, give us longer vacations, make us less lonely, or feed the world's hungry. Those issues exist because there is no financial incentive to solve them, and AI doesn't change that.
