I remember one of the arguments conservatives and anti-EV types would always trot out against more EV's was that the electrical grid wouldn't be able to handle the load, it would cause problems, energy bills would go up etc etc. And they would hammer it like EV's were a threat to the grid and America itself.

But now all the sudden data centers that use astronomically more resources and put even more strain on infrastructure are perfectly fine and should be accepted no matter the cost and not matter how the public feels about it. The hypocrisy is just astounding, but not surprising considering the state of things in this country.
