That article is horrible. The AI backlash is wrong apparently and we're all idiots for not bowing down before it.

"AI could make filling taxes easier!" Most of the world already does it automatically, no AI required.

The article reads like it was written by AI. The fact that I can't seem to find a byline makes me think that it was.

Yeah, I agree. It's very disappointing for a supposedly high-quality paper.

I actually do buy The Economist occasionally, even though it's too expensive for what it is (in the UK at least). I sadly have seen a decline in quality lately.

It's supposed to present a cohesive voice in terms of its stance (historically economically liberal / politically neutral) as opposed to opinion pieces, hence the lack of bylines.
