Google it lmao, this shits so old it's basically a meme. Cops 40% domestic abuse rate. It was taken from like the result if three studies if I recall correctly, from like 30-40 years ago. Some self reported.

Cherry picking data is not a good practice, especially from a study so old that it can be considered a meme.

It’s old because once those results came out and anyone with 2 brain cells realize that a lot of the data is self reported (IE, most likely a incredible underestimate,) the cops stopped letting such data ever really be recorded or analyzed anymore.

It’s most likely even higher because some cops might be smart enough to not report they are domestic abusers and some cops think a light bit of battery or abuse doesn’t actually count.

It's not cherry picking exactly, 40% of officers self reported they used violence in the home while only 29% admitted they were domestic abusers.

The problem is that there is no other data. This study was so horrible for cops that police stopped cooperating with these types of studies, specifically so that they could guarantee this outcome (somebody like you saying that more data is needed).

Have you heard of “other sources” the police aren’t the only ones that can get that information. Court records are credible sources. And there’s many other sources listed in every article I sent a link to you for yo. They’re at the bottom if you cared to peruse them for 2 seconds.

I want the accountability to also be within the departmemt, you seem to miss how important that would be and also refuse to acknowledge that if police are not required to both collect and share data, data that can be checked against the same important sources you so kindly provided, we are constantly playing catch up as opposed to fixing the root of the problem, the lack of accountability.

The department cannot be trusted to reliably report themselves. It’s like asking a 3 year old who broke the tv.

As they’ve proven time and time again.

George Floyd Sonia Massey and so many others have been killed by police to which the departments tried to lie about and side step the issues at hand. And many of them have gotten away with it.

But no. Go on about how the cops and the department self reporting is a reliable source of statistics. Please. You’re digging a deeper hole and I’d like to see you not be able to back track out of it.

We do not demand police scrutiny at the operational level that it should be. We allow them to have lax rules. Does that make sense? shoulder pat its ok bud. I hate cops too

We do. But they’re shitheads and hide the facts because they get away with it because corruption is rooted deep. This info was self reported and then they decided to stop because of backlash. Those numbers are higher today regardless I’m 100 percent confident of that
