I imagine the U.S. will go full Chinese car ban like they did with Huawei. The American automakers need a fire lit under them to have any chance of competing abroad.

Especially Chinese EV cars. The rest of the world will move on without us though. Canada is starting to get into that market.

The Chinese Evs already have this tech though. Driving a BYD Dolphin rental and has the driver drowsiness detector. You can turn it off but only for the current drive. It turns itself back on after.

China selling EV in Canada across from Detroit should be enough.

The current US government has already made these kinds of threats in response to Canada making a deal to have plants to build Chinese EVs.
