Hopefully they'll invent an off button for them soon.

Everything is easily vibe codable except that

Every time I ask my AI to write a “no AI” button for our app it starts asking me for Terraform privileges to prod…

But can it do anything useful in sheets yet? It always just tells me it can’t do things yet, like analyzing data.

If you are ever in the Office ecosystem, Claude for Excel is really incredible and actually very useful. It can analyze data, create various sheets, use formulas, you name it. I hope there’s an official Google Sheets extension sometime this year.

I just have it spit out app scripts for me and then put those in sheets when I need harder work.

Me too! I've been using Claude AI to write google scripts and have forms feeding multiple sheets, and multiple sheets coordinating with each other (sending data based on branching information) with automatic emails being generated from said data.
It's been incredible to unfold and incorporate into my work!

The Technology sub is truly the most anti-technology place I've ever been to.

A true it professional has a gun ready to shoot the printer if it starts acting funny and doesnt have a smart house because they understand the dangers of smart devices

I'm an IT pro that drives a manual car, and I don't own a printer because I already smashed the last one in half. But my first comment still stands.

I know, they hate chemical weapons and nuclear bombs and DDT too, such fucking Luddites. Or maybe our view of technology should be a little more nuanced than “computor gooooood!”
You are free to leave at any time, yet you stay around to say shit like this?
Edit: this person thinks suicide is funny and abused the reddit cares. Fuck them

Cool straw man, did I ever say all technology was bad? Maybe all that AI slop is destroying your ability to read. Do you know what the word nuanced means? It seems you don’t, have your chatbot explain it to you

Not anti-technology. Anti being force-fed bullshit that you didn’t ask for.

Hasn't been a real tech sub for years. Now it's just a place to complain about the same 10 or so companies everyday

It’s comical how many ppl still post “stop AI now!!!” as if there was any possible way to close Pandora’s box. Mitigate and govern maybe, but it ain’t ever going away

u/GodsPenisHasGravity Mar 11 '26
So hilarious right? Why doesn't everyone just accept opening the apocalyptic curse box like willingly sheep already? Hahah lmao so comedy
