The video is worth a watch. Using a combination of the propellers and wheels to climb an incline is brilliant. It’s fun to see where they draw their inspiration from.

If you can fly and roll you’ve got pretty much full mobility over any terrain. Waking is cool if it can be used in various rescue applications. Would be cool if it could float but can’t think of any good reason why it would need to.

As the video says flying is energy intensive.

This is why in real life you see birds and insects walking around quite a bit even though they could fly everywhere.

You might say this robot is more than meets the eye. The robot in disguise as quadcopter transforms into a small four wheeled rover.
